School Uniform
All students are expected to wear school uniform and to be clean and tidy at all times. We believe that a uniform helps students to become part of the school and develop a sense of pride in themselves.
Governors have agreed amendments to respect religious and cultural traditions.
It is vital therefore for parents to support us in the upkeep of uniform and in ensuring that students maintain a high standard of appearance.
We ask that all students wear the following items of uniform:-
Years 7 - 10
- Black trousers or black skirt/pinafore dress (years 9,10,11 only)
- White shirt
- School tie*
- Black blazer with school badge*
- Black shoes with flat or low heels, (not open in any way)
- Plain black, white, or grey short socks or tights
- Black V-necked jumper (Optional, NOT an alternative to blazer.)
- Black headscarf (for religious reasons only)
Year 11

*(School badges and ties can be purchased through school).
All items of clothing must be clearly marked with the students’ name.
Other Uniform Rules
- Trainers, boots, sling-back, peep-toe or platform soled shoes should not be worn
- Trousers must be school trousers. Jeans, fashion trousers, leggings etc. are not acceptable.
- NO jewellery, except one stud per ear and a watch, is allowed.
- Hair accessories should be in the school colours of black, red or white.
- Haircuts and styles must be sensible. Hair extensions, shaved heads or brightly coloured dyed hair are NOT allowed.
- Make up must be discreet.
If students wear jewellery it may be confiscated until the end of half term.
The P.E. Kit
The recommended kit for PE and Games is:
Boys: Red rugby shirt or plain white tee shirt, black shorts, white football socks and training shoes, and football boots.
Girls: White aertex top, black pleated games skirt, shorts or tracksuit bottoms, white or black socks, dark PE knickers worn with games skirts and training shoes.
Plain black tracksuit bottoms and sweatshirt optional - no logos.
A black sweatshirt with an embroidered School logo is available for boys and girls. This can be ordered through the P.E. Department on Welcome Evening, as can the red rugby shirts - prices vary according to size. (The sweatshirt is not part of daily school uniform) |
